The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be accountable to the supervising pharmacist who is responsible for the care and safety of our patients.
Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications
- Follow applicable standards and federal, state, and local laws and regulations for patient care and safety
- Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and use of pharmacy equipment, including robotic dispensing equipment and automated dispensing cabinets
- Operate pharmacy automation technology systems and workflow management
- Perform initial trouble shooting for automated pharmacy technology and associated software
- Work under time constraints
- High School Diploma or equivalence exam
- Actively registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work
- 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required
