Franciscan Ministries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the nursing department to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as current standards of gerontological nursing practice.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans for individual residents, including rehabilitative and restorative activities, instruction in self-help, and cooperation with occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy.
- Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff to ensure a high level of quality care and service.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care and services for residents.
- Develop and maintain nursing service policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 5 years of experience in general staff nursing, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing administration.
- Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure.
