Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technology endpoints including computers, servers, networks, and mobile devices.
- Manage vulnerabilities and ensure timely security updates across all endpoints.
- Configure and deploy new computers utilizing SCCM/Autopilot and establish workstations.
- Administer Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and control user permissions within Active Directory.
- Monitor and address help desk inquiries, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Engage in contract negotiations, budgeting, and procurement while adhering to policies and maintaining an inventory of essential components.
- Document and maintain records for hardware and software assets, network schematics, operational procedures, and change management logs.
- Oversee backup processes and ensure effective monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding IT operations, procurement, security, data backups, and electronic waste management.
- Administer and oversee the Avaya VoIP telephone system.
- Travel may be necessary to support remote locations.
- Undertake special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT role.
- In-depth knowledge of computing systems, networking, mobile technologies, and Microsoft applications including Windows 10 & 11, Server 2016+, O365, Teams, and Active Directory.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Hyper-V, Forscout, Tanium, Carbon Black, Global Protect, Intune, SCCM, Meraki, Cherwell, and PrinterLogic.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires frequent sitting and the use of hands for operating a computer keyboard and telephone. Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching are necessary. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for equipment setup is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a standard office setting with a moderate noise level. The typical work schedule is 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
