Position Overview: Bridge Engineering Project Leader

We are seeking a Bridge Engineering Project Leader to join our Structural Group. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of transportation projects in collaboration with state and local agencies, while becoming part of a well-established and expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple projects concurrently and will possess strong client interaction skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Act as Engineer-of-Record for structural components of projects.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on plans, calculations, reports, and other deliverables.
  • Comprehend overall project requirements and facilitate coordination with clients and across disciplines.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring accountability for scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Represent Benesch at industry events and professional engagements.
  • Identify opportunities and spearhead strategic project pursuits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering required; Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Possession of a Colorado PE or SE License required or the ability to obtain one.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant bridge design experience; familiarity with CDOT projects and standards is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with CDOT and/or local Colorado agencies is a plus.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports related to structural and civil engineering disciplines.
  • Strong business development, project management, and client relationship skills.
  • Proven ability to cultivate client relationships and secure work.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities with a history of adhering to budgets, schedules, and contractual obligations.
