About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, to inmates in a correctional facility. You will also work closely with correctional staff, medical professionals, and external agencies to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for inmates, including risk assessments, and diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-V criteria.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy sessions focusing on issues such as substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and behavioral disorders.
  • Crisis Intervention and Response: Respond to mental health crises within the facility, implementing de-escalation techniques and crisis management interventions.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), MFT, LPCC.
  • Experience in a correctional or forensic setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the DSM-V and mental health diagnoses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
