**Job Overview:**

As a Respiratory Therapist 2 at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide safe and effective respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric populations
  • Serve as a respiratory care resource and educator for patients, caregivers, hospital staff, and students
  • Select appropriate ventilators and non-ordered ventilator parameters
  • Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care plans
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and well-stocked manner

**Requirements:**

  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist required
  • Current certification or registry from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)* or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
  • Current CPR certification as required by practice setting
