Job Title: Physician Advisor

Join the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) as a Physician Advisor, a key role in our organization. As a Physician Advisor, you will be responsible for evaluating trends, identifying challenges to sustained performance improvement, and developing plans to address these challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilization Management: Evaluate trends, identify challenges, and develop plans to address them.
  • Leadership: Participate in the Utilization Management Committee and Patient Outlier Meetings.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule: Work 2-3 days onsite, with no call required.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
  • Utilization Management knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Managed Care Medical Director experience.
  • Prior actual Physician Advisor experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Emergency Department Leadership experience.
  • Medical Director of an Observation Unit experience.
