Job Summary:

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Inform patients of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
  • Ensure patients are cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
  • Accurately position patients and ensure their comfort.
  • Maintain visual and verbal contact with patients during the exam.
  • Perform scans in accordance with center protocols.
  • Administer intravenous contrast.
  • Complete all forms pertaining to patient exams.
  • Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
  • Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
  • Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
  • Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
  • Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
  • Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on credentialing policy.
  • Contrast administration.
  • Some locations require a call rotation, ability to participate in call if needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior MRI scanning experience.
  • MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
