Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Imaging Resource Specialist II to join our team. This role will be based out of our Weymouth MRI practice and will require travel to cover Plymouth and Easton sites as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that imaging/radiology patients are accurately scheduled for their tests and registered into the practice management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient safety assessments and determine appropriate appointment length
  • Provide patient testing instructions and obtain necessary authorizations for Imaging/Radiology exams
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and preparatory activities have been completed
  • Utilize a thorough knowledge base on referral-related issues and keep current on policies and procedures of various insurance payors
  • Research referral and provider information as needed
  • Coordinate and facilitate the processing of patients with job-related injuries or illnesses
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required
  • Proficient use of medical office and medical terminology required
  • At least three years of experience in a clinical and/or customer service setting, including direct or indirect involvement with Radiology/Imaging exams
  • Knowledge of Imaging/Radiology procedures and various health insurance plans required
