As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and making JOANN a happy place for our customers.
    • Use the F.A.S.T. service model to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
    • Engage in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor.
  • Sales and Merchandising
    • Process customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register in an efficient and friendly manner.
    • Lift boxes from the truck and receiving area, place, and arrange items on shelves and racks.
    • Stock shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining a high level of productivity and close attention to detail.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Assist other team members with tasks to ensure that the team exceeds expectations set by Store Management.
    • Work with Store Management and other team members on projects in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift, place, and arrange items on shelves and racks.
  • Ability to stand during an entire shift (other than normal break time).
  • Ability to read written instructions, reports, and other information on paper and computer screens.
  • Ability to orally communicate with customers and other team members on a consistent basis throughout their shift.
