Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at New Ulm Medical Center, part of Allina Health. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our emergency medicine program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including reviewing medical histories, collecting and prioritizing data, and making decisions to prevent harm or disability.
- Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, including hospitalists, surgeons, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
- Participate in the development and implementation of our emergency medicine program, including quality improvement initiatives and educational programs.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our emergency department, including participating in recruitment and retention efforts and providing input on departmental policies and procedures.
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training is required.
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited residency training program in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine Experience.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
- ACLS/BLS - required within 180 days of hire.
- ATLS or CALS.
- PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource required.
