Fiscal Director

The Fiscal/Budget Director is responsible for overseeing the financial and business planning functions of the Office of Children & Youth. This includes developing and implementing financial plans, managing budgets, and analyzing financial data to inform decision-making.

• Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for the Office of Children & Youth
• Manage and analyze financial data to inform decision-making
• Supervise and direct staff to ensure effective financial operations
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial planning and management

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fiscal operations and management
• Experience in a public/governmental organization is beneficial
• Ability to gather, analyze, and apply information to administrative decision-making
• Knowledge of computer operations and programming
• Ability to understand and implement application of hardware and software operations
• Knowledge of spreadsheet software applications
• Knowledge of grant application procedures and regulatory fiscal documentation and reporting
• Knowledge of financial reporting comprehension and analysis
• Knowledge of personnel management
• Ability to apply statutory and regulatory requirements to fiscal, budgetary, and service delivery aspects of a child welfare department

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional travel required. The position requires the ability to work after regular work hours and be available to attend special evening and weekend events and meetings.
