Per Diem Inpatient Physical Therapist for Weekend Shifts

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at MelroseWakefield Healthcare. As a Per Diem Inpatient Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general population.
- Assess and re-assess patient pain and develop appropriate treatment plans to assist patients in attaining maximum functional outcomes.
- Interact professionally with patients and families, involving them in the formation of the plan of care and formulating a teaching plan based on identified learning, cultural, and psychosocial needs.
- Set realistic short and long-term goals and plans of care related to patients' physical therapy needs within the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary systems.
- Supervise and educate students, evaluating their performance and preparing the department for JCAHO surveys and participating in CQI activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and/or necessary to ensure appropriate patient care.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy.
- Physical Therapy (PT) License.
- Three (3) years of clinical experience with one year in an acute care setting.
- American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Membership or specialty equivalent.
