Job Summary

UPMC is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of plumbing systems throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain potable water systems, including fixture repair and maintenance of instantaneous commercial domestic hot water steam systems.
  • Repair and maintain plumbing waste lines, including unclogging obstructions and operating various styles of equipment.
  • Service and repair grease traps, fire systems, eyewash systems, and medical gas outlets.
  • Be familiar with hospital protocols for all types of work and be able to build containment and set up a room for construction per U.P.M.C. standards.
  • Estimate material requirements and prepare requisitions, as well as prepare daily and monthly time sheets and various other written reports.
Requirements
  • Journeyman level experience in the plumbing field is required.
  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Allegheny County Plumbing license, Stationary Engineer license, Medical Gas license, and Backflow certification are preferred.
  • Act 34 clearance is required.
