LPN I Career Opportunities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented LPN I to provide nursing care and oversight to individuals in our community residential homes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong understanding of nursing policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional nursing care and oversight by implementing individual health care plans, including charting vital signs, applying medical dressings, and administering medications as prescribed.
- Assist with daily maintenance, personal care, and other services outlined in the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Maintain accurate records and files.
- Initiate referrals for needed medical services, including scheduling, hospital safeguarding, advocacy, and follow-up care.
- Communicate health issues to staff and update families/guardians on hospitalizations, rehabilitation, and other important matters.
- Order medications and maintain medical supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Apply basic first aid techniques, CPR, tracheotomy care, and catheterizations as needed.
- Provide training for direct support staff on use of equipment and treatments.
Requirements:
- Current, active license to practice as an LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
- Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain respectful relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Capacity to assist/lift individuals with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility.
- Knowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.
- Aptitude to transcribe, read, and comprehend English language.
