Cajun Industries LLC is seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. As a Structural Welder, you will play a critical role in creating frames for large structures, utilizing your expertise in arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut and drill structural metal pieces to size and position for welding
  • Ensure high-quality welds that meet safety and industry standards
  • Perform simple piping installations and repairs
  • Assist other mechanics and craft workers as needed

Requirements

Physical Demands

  • Ability to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.
  • Repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs
  • Hand/eye coordination
  • Effective communication skills to ensure safe work performance
  • Ability to perform sedentary to heavy work
  • Operation of hand and power tools, including electric, gas, and pneumatic tools
  • Climbing and maintaining balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
  • Frequent use of hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects
  • Prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing/pulling, or standing and lifting
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, including muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.
  • Possibility of working in confined spaces
  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, etc.
