At Corona RCFE, we believe that providing exceptional care and support to our residents is at the heart of everything we do. As a Med Tech/Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents, working closely with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality care and services.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with established procedures and protocols
  • Verify the identity of residents receiving medication and record the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records
  • Clarify any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective, or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner and notify the supervisor when making the decision not to administer
  • Take and record vital signs upon administration of medications when required
  • Order and re-order medications and return all discharge medications for credit in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly medication room and cart, taking appropriate precautions to ensure residents/patients do not have access to medications other than those prescribed
  • Complete required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations

Requirements

  • 1-2 years' experience in a related position, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent desirable
  • Successful completion of a state-approved course and approval to administer oral and external medication
