Job Summary:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and support to Process Technicians, applying continuous improvement methodology to enhance plant operations and support specific plant goals in operational effectiveness, job effectiveness, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering expertise for a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and support projects involving cost reduction, process optimization, and new products/processes.
  • Execute duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to plant safety rules.
  • Provide training for customers regarding equipment or operations changes.
  • Become knowledgeable about project contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Investigate, propose, procure, and launch new process and operations improvements by developing specific metrics and conducting necessary audits.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use.
  • Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Recommend/implement improvements to processes and equipment.
  • Identify chronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and update engineering and operations documentation.
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule.
  • Manage document control, receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents.
  • Actively participate with the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker safety and minimize incident risk.
  • Function as a change agent and drive and implement change through cross-functional efforts.
  • Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, SOP etc.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports to track progress and drive action on plant improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline like Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, environmental Engineering Industrial Engineering, Material Science & Engineering.
  • Fresh graduate or recent graduate.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach.
  • Proven technical acumen.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical college diploma.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all management levels and other client business units.
