Egg Processing Maintenance Technician

The Egg Processing Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient performance of equipment through regular preventive and repair maintenance. This includes verifying parts and supplies inventories, assisting machine operators with sanitation regulations, and inspecting work methods for conformance to machine operation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment
- Lubricate machine components as needed
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and related systems
- Repair and replace broken parts to avoid downtime
- Communicate with machine operators and assist with routine equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Assist Quality Control Inspectors to ensure final products meet requirements and specifications
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment
- Be able to run the machine
- Assist in monitoring and adjusting printing on packaging
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local directives and regulations
- Complete and transmit paperwork associated with operations and performance
- Alert management of urgent or emergency situations
- Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies
- Familiarize self with and conform to Bio-security Program Policies
- Familiarize self with and ensure personnel comply with Good Manufacturing Practices Handbook (GMP) policies
- Familiarize self with and comply with Company Safety Program
- Meet physical demands of the job, including lifting 50 lbs and working at heights
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary mechanical or technical training preferred
- Capable of performing routine math calculations, including percentages and fractions
- Experience in mechanical functions, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Oracle experience
- Dependability and flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends
- Ability to address critical situations in a timely and consistent manner
- Good decision-making and organizational skills
- Ability to work with coworkers, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel in a professional manner
- Ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors and outdoors, in varying temperatures and atmospheres
- Ability to work in an open office setting
- Must maintain professionalism with coworkers
