The Role
The Culinary Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position involves organizing and cleaning kitchenware, including pots, pans, utensils, and other equipment, ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
A successful candidate will take initiative in completing essential tasks, such as managing waste disposal, operating cleaning machinery, and occasionally assisting the Chef on Duty.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly rinse, clean, organize, and stock kitchen items to meet daily operational needs.
- Comply with health and safety regulations while enforcing company policies and local laws.
- Follow established checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and team meetings.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment effectively.
- Manage waste disposal, mop areas, and organize both dirty and clean kitchenware.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Efficiency in maintaining company standards while working quickly.
- Ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations.
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and collaborative team player.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Ability to move quickly between different areas of the facility.
- Capacity to lift, carry, or pull at least 30 pounds.
- Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing may be required.
- Physical stamina for lifting, cleaning, and maintaining an active role.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
