Job Summary

Covenant Living is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus, residents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency situations and calls, and ensure prompt and effective response to all emergencies on campus.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the campus, including buildings and grounds, to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Monitor and control access to the campus, including exterior doors and vehicle traffic.
  • Challenge and report any unauthorized individuals on campus property.
  • Collaborate with on-call personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related events.
  • Identify and report safety hazards and maintenance requests to the appropriate teams.
  • Provide non-emergency residential services and maintenance/housekeeping support as needed.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in security or a related field.
  • Current state driver's license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record.
  • First aid certification and experience in emergency medical situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good observational skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
  • For California candidates, must maintain a valid and current California Security License.
