The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, installation, and setup of mechanical equipment and structures designed and manufactured by the client for the electric power generation, transmission, and distribution sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and engage in the assembly, installation, and setup of mechanical equipment and structures.
  • Perform lead man duties, overseeing 3-4 foremen and their crews.
  • Ensure foremen are effectively managing field tasks and completing work on time.
  • Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and supervisors to implement job planning and manage scope changes.
  • Organize and procure tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Manage start times, breaks, and lunch periods.
  • Ensure timely return of rental equipment and tools.
  • Conduct two-week look-ahead for tools and materials.
  • Track labor and assist with job projections.
  • Attend and provide training in safety and project management.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience as a mechanical superintendent.
  • Background in power generation (combined cycle, frame units, steam turbines, gas turbines, boilers).
  • Experience doing construction takeoffs, pricing change orders, understanding project budget, and prioritizing day-to-day activities.
  • Technical mechanical background: foreman experience, pipefitter experience, welding experience.
  • Ability to travel 90%.
