About the Position

The Mechanical Superintendent role at Power Design is a critical leadership position that plays a pivotal part in the success of our company. As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing direction to the project team to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage, evaluate, and train field project team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Project Planning: Plan, organize, and direct the production of contracted scope of work, ensuring that all installations meet quality and mechanical code standards.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with customers, inspectors, and other trades to ensure excellent customer service and resolve any conflicts that may arise.
  • Conflict Resolution: Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all installations meet quality and mechanical code standards.
  • Resource Management: Manage material and personnel requirements necessary to meet schedule.
  • Compliance: Adhere to Power Design's standards of quality, safety, and best practices.
Requirements
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
  • Field Experience: Skilled field supervisor with at least 10 years of experience managing crews and running multimillion-dollar construction projects.
  • Licenses: An active Mechanical (HVAC) or Plumbing license is required.
  • Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of the National Building Code, local codes, and construction safety requirements.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer and writing skills are necessary.
