Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Home Sporting Events Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of sporting events at the Chehalis School District. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with event stakeholders to determine event requirements, objectives, and logistics. Develop event plans, timelines, and coordinate with various departments to ensure proper event execution.
  • Venue Management: Coordinate with facilities management to ensure proper functioning of amenities, seating areas, and parking facilities. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety or maintenance issues.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise event staff, including ticketing staff, and event volunteers. Assign duties and responsibilities to staff members, ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Event Operations: Oversee event setup, including seating arrangements, signage, and concessions. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the provision of food, beverages, merchandise, and other event-related services. Manage ticketing operations, including ticket sales, distribution, and entry processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of Sports Event Operations: Familiarity with ticketing systems and event management software.
  • Leadership and Team Management Abilities: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the event schedule.
Benefits and Compensation

The Chehalis School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including SEBB eligibility and benefits. Coaching positions are not anticipated to meet the SEBB eligibility requirements.
