Sterile Processing Technician, Patewood, Full-Time, Day

As a Sterile Processing Technician at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaving and chemical disinfection.
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays and sets according to established protocols.
- Document all activities related to instrument decontamination, assembly, and sterilization in the Instrument Tracking System.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless workflow and efficient processing of instruments.
- Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience in a hospital or clinical setting may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
This position is located at the Patewood Outpatient Center/Medical Offices and requires a Day shift schedule.
