Job Title

A Quality Assurance Engineer is required to oversee the repair process of transformers at Pro QC International North America.

Detailed Job Description
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting transformer repair processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, including IEEE C57.12 and IEC 60076.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspection results and status in a timely manner.
  • Communicating findings and solutions to relevant stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
  • Preparation of daily and weekly reports using Microsoft Office applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of transformer components, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with professional quality control/inspection guidelines and safety requirements.
Certifications and Training
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) by ASQ or equivalent.
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) by ASQ.
  • Certified Electrical Inspector (CEI) by IAEI or similar.
  • OSHA Safety Certification (OSHA 30-hour General Industry or similar).
Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience in electrical engineering, particularly in transformer inspection and repair.
  • Previous experience working in heavy industries, especially in quality control/inspection roles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Job Type: Part-time 1099 Contractor

Working Setting: In-person location in New Milford, Connecticut, USA

Shift Hours: 6-8 hours per day for 3 weeks; additional projects available in nearby areas.

Estimated Salary: $80-$120 per hour based on industry standards and location.
