Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Oncology team as a Care Team Specialist II. In this role, you will focus on scheduling and referrals, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and communicated to the appropriate parties.
This position is based in the office and offers the opportunity to work closely with patients and Providers. Your responsibilities will include coordinating treatments and services, making sure that all scheduling aligns with insurance company requirements, managing visit alterations, and collaborating with nursing and therapy staff to meet regulations and patient needs.
Our care team collaborates efficiently on services from the point of referral to the discharge of services, handling tasks such as authorizations, phone calls, chart scanning, faxing, and generating reports. The team collectively manages a high volume of phone calls, prioritizing compassion, care, and the creation of a supportive environment within our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduling and referrals for patients
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with patients and Providers
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to meet regulations and patient needs
- Manage visit alterations and ensure alignment with insurance company requirements
Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent required
- Two years of related experience in a medical group office or other related experience required
- Experience or education providing basic knowledge of medical terminology required
- Epic experience preferred
- Prior insurance referral experience preferred
