We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused CARE Advocate to join our team at High Point University Health. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will provide exceptional customer service, hospitality, and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support, manage patient care, and assist the clinical team as needed.
  • Handle daily administrative duties, including checking for add-ons, completing registration checklists, and printing care slips.
  • Prepare for appointments by reviewing dental eligibility forms, preparing treatment and/or visit estimates, and sending MyChart activation links.
  • Ensure schedules are reviewed daily and that any deactivated MyChart patients are identified and contacted prior to appointment time.
  • Run Care Slip reports and print batches.
  • Complete confirmation worklists, including one-week confirmation reminders and appointment confirmation calls.
  • Utilize workqueues, worklists, and reports to fill schedules, review continuing treatment reports, and present treatment plans.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out, collect required signatures, and process patient payments.
  • Review claim errors, missing attachments, and outstanding/open encounters.
  • Help lead morning huddles by providing metrics, daily production goals, and communicating patient needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree and bachelor's degrees are a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in a customer service role, preferably multitasking.
  • Preferred experience in a dental or medical office.
  • Preferred training on an electronic medical record.
