POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store activities. This position involves overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources functions to guarantee an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management:

- Evaluates sales data and key performance indicators to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective in-store sales strategies.

- Sets and communicates clear expectations, ensuring accountability for achieving brand standards and performance metrics.

- Manages payroll and supply budgets efficiently.

- Oversees essential operational tasks such as scheduling, conducting shrink audits, managing physical inventory, and ensuring accuracy in payroll documentation.

- Executes all financial transactions in compliance with company policies, including cash handling and reporting.

- Ensures adherence to legal requirements, loss prevention policies, and operational procedures; conducts training to reinforce compliance.

- Manages inventory processes, including receipt and dispatch, daily replenishment, and preparation for physical counts.

- Maintains visual merchandising and store organization that reflects the brand’s image.

Team Development:

- Inspires and motivates the store team, fostering a shared vision while exemplifying core values.

- Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving within the team.

- Communicates effectively with team members and the Store Manager to facilitate positive changes.

- Seeks opportunities for personal growth and actively seeks feedback to enhance leadership skills.

Customer Engagement:

- Exemplifies and promotes exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.

- Demonstrates sales techniques and shares product knowledge with customers; assists in merchandise selection based on customer preferences.

- Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.

- Ensures a smooth and efficient checkout process, staying informed on policies regarding payments, returns, and exchanges.

- Encourages consistent communication with clients through loyalty programs and customer engagement initiatives.

Talent Management:

- Aids in the recruitment, hiring, and development of a high-performing team.

- Supports training programs and follows up on their effectiveness.

- Evaluates and coaches team performance regularly.

- Collaborates with the Store Manager to resolve HR issues promptly.

- Recognizes and rewards team members for outstanding contributions.

- Ensures compliance with all employment practices and policies.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management is preferred.

- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to adapt to company-provided technology.

- Proven track record in customer service and sales leadership.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

- Familiarity with administrative aspects of retail operations.

- Regular attendance is essential to meet operational objectives, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.

- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

- Regular climbing activities.
