Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Permanent Controls Engineer to become part of our team. This role presents an exciting chance to thrive in a fast-paced setting, working on an array of control system initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated automation systems and solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.

This position demands a comprehensive understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems to boost operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct detailed programming of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and HMI interfaces.
  • Develop and implement SCADA systems for industrial control applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of all systems for optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenges related to automation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to assess and enhance automation processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including project plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure our automation systems remain competitive.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within the engineering sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.
  • Thorough knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial control processes.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex control systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
