Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Language Specialist PRN to join our interdisciplinary team at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. As a PRN employee, you will have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis while still contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia. You will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication disorders, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify communication disorders in pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and cognitive impairments.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
• Participate in educational programs and workshops to stay current on best practices and research in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia (provisional license acceptable during Clinical Fellowship).
• Certification of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or willingness to obtain upon completion of Clinical Fellowship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to children with communication disorders.
