Job Summary

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. The selected candidate will serve as a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor in the Army National Guard Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning: Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and priorities to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Work Direction: Assign tasks to subordinate personnel, provide guidance and training, and monitor progress to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Administration: Manage personnel records, conduct performance evaluations, and make recommendations for promotions or reassignments.
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance of equipment, facilities, and vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Force Protection: Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the security and safety of personnel and assets.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide opportunities for subordinate personnel to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • National Guard Membership is required.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Qualifications
  • Must possess the experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and can use common tools and equipment in the line of work.
  • Must possess at least Thirty-Six (36) months of experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel.
