Overview: Soliant is looking for a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become a vital part of our educational team in Albany, NY. The SLP will be responsible for delivering thorough evaluations and therapeutic interventions for students facing speech and language challenges, thereby enhancing their educational and social outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation & Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language impairments. Create and execute personalized treatment strategies based on evaluation results.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapeutic services to address various communication disorders, including articulation, language acquisition, fluency, and voice disorders.
  • IEP Collaboration: Partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to formulate and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
  • Monitoring Progress: Keep precise and current records of student progress, therapy sessions, and assessment outcomes. Prepare thorough documentation for IEP meetings and other necessary reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, school personnel, and families to incorporate speech and language objectives into classroom instruction and daily activities.
  • Support & Resources: Offer support and resources to families and educators to foster students' communication skills both at home and in the educational setting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an educational environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to work effectively within a team and manage a diverse caseload.
