We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide remote speech and language services to students enrolled in virtual education programs across the state of New York.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language abilities, and pragmatic language skills.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment findings and in collaboration with school teams, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students through virtual platforms, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies to address communication goals.
  • Monitor students' progress regularly and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs in the virtual learning environment.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and educational staff regarding strategies for fostering communication skills in virtual classrooms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, particularly as they relate to virtual service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Prior experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting, with experience in virtual service delivery preferred.
  • Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently while adhering to deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language services to support students' academic and social success in the virtual learning environment.
