Role Summary:
The Refrigeration Systems Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various refrigeration machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, assembles, and installs refrigeration systems and components, utilizing blueprints and technical specifications.
- Adjusts and calibrates valves, controls, and temperature regulation devices.
- Conducts operational checks to verify system functionality.
- Diagnoses issues and performs urgent repairs on refrigeration units.
- Performs routine overhauls and inspections of refrigeration systems.
- Identifies defective components and determines the best repair methods.
- Requests necessary parts for repairs and oversees their installation.
- Reassembles systems and prepares them for refrigerant charging.
- Maintains accurate logs of refrigerant usage and system performance.
- May assist with additional tasks within the Maintenance department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, along with an HVAC Journeyman certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be physically capable of performing job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
