Job Summary

National Jewish Health is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Processing Technician to join our Complement Laboratory team within Advanced Diagnostics Laboratories.

The ideal candidate has previously worked in a CAP/CLIA regulated laboratory or clinical trial setting with exposure to GLP regulations.

Strong attention to detail is required, with experience in data entry and management preferred.

This role requires excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

The successful candidate will be able to perform additional duties as assigned and meet expected deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department of the Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories.
  • Manages receiving and handling of samples for processing in multiple laboratories.
  • Works closely with the phlebotomy staff to ensure timely delivery of critical samples.
  • Communicates with laboratory staff on the status of the delivery or receipt of samples.
  • Identifies problems and may resolve or notify appropriate person of issues with specimen types.
  • Performs data entry and QC of all patient/client information into the LIS/LIMS system for sample tracking.
  • Follows clinical department requirements with regard to specimen types and prepares samples for biological processing.
