AutoZone is seeking a highly skilled Shift Supervisor to join our team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity in our stores.

You will be responsible for training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Store Manager with supervising, training and developing store personnel
  • Assume responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Delegate and ensure store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling duties
  • Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed
  • Utilize ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners are implementing safe practices
  • Monitor cash flow, inventory and security control
  • Maintain sales productivity, store appearance and merchandising standards
  • Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures
  • Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
  • Follow proper accident procedures
  • Provide feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the Store Manager
  • Assist with monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment
  • Address customer concerns and resolve them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment
  • Process returns and effectively manage inventory
  • Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner
  • Motivate AutoZoners to provide WOW Customer Service, enhance productivity level and market products to enhance sales and profits

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ASE Certified preferred
  • Demonstrates high level of integrity
  • Excellent communication and decision making skills
  • Ability to drive customer service
