Job Title: Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and store blood samples according to established procedures
  • Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection clearly and courteously
  • Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles
  • Understand physicians' orders and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required
  • Check test requisitions, package specimens for transport, and store samples according to required protocols
Requirements:
  • Phlebotomy experience and certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to float to different nearby Labcorp locations
