Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post Surgical Unit

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon. As a Post Surgical Unit RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Post Surgical Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your skills in acute care nursing. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care.
  • Assess patient needs and develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on health and wellness topics.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • BSN or ADN/ASN with 3-5 years acute care nursing experience.
  • Recent (within past 5 years) acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required at employment.
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support card or obtain within 6 months of hire.
