Electrical Project Manager Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Electrical Project Manager/Estimator to oversee the pre-planning and management of construction projects, utilizing all company resources to achieve satisfied customers, increased productivity, and increased profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date change order, subcontractor, RFI, and contingency logs.
  • Collaborate with Labor Superintendent to ensure labor plan execution.
  • Create MEP Schedules and Manloading charts for all projects.
  • Submit timely and complete estimates and change order quotations.
  • Communicate with purchasing and subcontractors to secure schedule, scope, and price.
  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
  • Satisfy customers' needs to develop repeat business.
  • Perform Design Build or Bid Spec Projects.
  • Estimate various electrical projects, including bid spec, public, private, or design build.
  • Assist in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Consultation.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience with commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $100K to $10M.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical coordination.
  • Project financial tracking responsibility and reporting experience.
  • Experience in monitoring labor performance for labor productivity and tracking progress.
  • Knowledge in generating construction schedules and updating same.
  • Knowledge in reading plans and specifications for ordering material and estimating change orders.
  • Ability to order, track, and expedite MEP and specialty items for timely delivery.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing multi-disciplined projects.
