Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Surgical Technologist to join our team at United Medical Center - Nursing. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
  • Ensure proper sterilization and handling of equipment
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic conditions during procedures
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe procedures
Requirements:
  • 1 year minimum experience as a Surgical Technologist
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe and efficient environment
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced ER environment with a quick turnover. You must be able to adjust and adapt quickly. The ER has 19 beds and is a level 3 ER, excluding 9 fast track beds.

  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Starting IV's
  • Titrate Cardiac drips
  • Titrate Vasoactive drips
  • Care of Ventilated Patient
  • Ventilator Management
  • Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE
Additional Requirements:
  • Government issued photo ID required prior to start
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
