Industrial Journeyman Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Field Pipe Fitter to join our team at ResourceTek. This is a contract opportunity with our client, and the successful candidate will be working on location near Wilson, NC.

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine pipe routing and layout.
• Fabricate and install pipe components and systems according to specifications.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and tools to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and tools to ensure efficient workflow.
• Prepare working materials by cutting, threading, and applying chemical solutions to piping.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Secure pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
• Observe and comply with safety regulations.

• Ability to pass pipe fitting test.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Able to use hand tools, man lifts, platform lifts, forklifts, rigging and erecting equipment.

• Able to work 10, 12-hour days.
• Stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 12 hours per day.
• Stoop, bend, turn, twist, and reach repeatedly throughout the day.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs up and down ladders repeatedly.
• Able to work in cold and hot environments.
