Office Manager/Operations/Assistant

The Town of Castleton is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Manager/Operations/Assistant to support the Town Manager and various town departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing communications, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth operation of municipal office functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage communications and correspondence with residents, visitors, and private/public entities
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for the Town Manager and other town officials
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files
  • Provide administrative support to various town departments
  • Coordinate and implement office procedures and policies
  • Serve as the E911 Coordinator and oversee CDL requirements
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and Adobe
  • Ability to learn and navigate government portals and maintain content on the town website
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
