Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Speech Pathologist to contribute to our mission of enhancing the lives of those we serve. The Speech Pathologist will play a crucial role in assessing, treating, and documenting care for individuals facing challenges with swallowing or communication due to various health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at helping residents achieve or maintain optimal functional abilities.
  • Advise on suitable treatment options, preventive strategies, and necessary adaptive or durable medical equipment to support residents' needs.
  • Conduct educational sessions for residents and caregivers to promote understanding and effective management of communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and maintain accurate documentation in line with organizational policies.
Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a degree from an accredited speech therapy/pathology program and possess a valid NYS speech therapy/pathology license. The ability to lift up to 60 pounds and engage in physical activities such as sitting, walking, bending, and twisting is essential. Experience in long-term care therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
