Job Summary

The Lead Teller position at St. John Bank is a key role that requires a high level of knowledge and expertise in banking operations. As a Lead Teller, you will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager and ensuring that branch activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Branch Manager in daily operations
  • Ensure accurate and efficient cash handling and vault operations
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote business for the Bank
  • Train and support less experienced tellers and other staff members
  • Stay up-to-date with banking regulations and policies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of Teller experience, including 1 year at a supervisory level
  • Working knowledge of teller procedures, equipment, and resources
  • Intermediate experience in branch operation activities terminology and products and services
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures
  • Intermediate PC skills, including Windows 10, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate interest and balance accounts
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult problems and work with minimal supervision
  • Current driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
