Key Responsibilities- Training Program Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees, focusing on dough preparation and packaging procedures.
- Training Model Creation: Develop training models to support on-the-job training of new and existing employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Instructional Methods: Determine the most effective instructional methods for training, taking into account the needs of each position and the effectiveness of different learning methods.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for production operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality regulations.
- Audit and Recommendations: Conduct regular audits of standard operating procedures with supervision and management, making recommendations for improvements and changes as needed.
- Classroom and On-the-Job Training: Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for new hires, re-trainings, and new procedures/equipment.
- Performance Evaluation: Assist supervisors with evaluating new hire and employee performance after completion of training.
- Additional Training: Assist supervisors with additional training for employees with performance issues and/or knowledge gaps.
- Food Safety/GMP Training: Conduct annual Food Safety/GMP training for production, sanitation, and maintenance staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to and enforcement of safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
- Reporting: Report safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree highly preferred.
- Experience: Food manufacturing experience preferred; previous training background.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and write in English; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and deal with standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new systems.
The physical demands of this role include standing for several hours, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talking or hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment can be moderate to loud.
