We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Yard Department professional to join our team at 85 Lumber. As a Trainee in all areas of the Yard Department, you will have the opportunity to operate various types of mobile and fixed equipment, including forklifts and loaders.

This role requires strong interpretational skills to understand operational procedures and parameters, such as Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions. You will be responsible for performing additional duties as needed and recommending improvements to make the workplace safer.

  • Operate various types of mobile and fixed equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing risks.
  • Interpret operational procedures and parameters to optimize performance and safety.
  • Perform tasks independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance workplace safety and efficiency.

A successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, basic math skills, and an 84 Components Fork Truck License. Strong decision-making abilities, wise resource utilization, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for this role.
