Key Responsibilities:
  • Think Safety First: Our top priority is the safety of our employees and the public. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential hazards in the field.
  • Utilize Technology: You will use a laptop computer to receive, document, and process tickets and emails, as well as utilize provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
  • Interpret Maps and Blueprints: You will read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method and sequence for locating underground utilities.
  • Communicate Effectively: You will communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners to ensure that all parties are informed and aware of the location of underground utilities.
Qualifications:
  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Driver's License: You must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Demands: You will be required to walk up to 5 miles a day, 2-3 times a week, and carry up to 5 pounds of electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Background Check: You will be required to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
Schedule:
  • Flexible Schedule: You will need to have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, as ticket/production load requires.
  • On-Call Shift Rotation: You will be required to respond to emergency calls during scheduled on-call shift rotation.
