Job Summary

Amano McGann, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software, firmware, and other products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Identify scope and scenarios, execute end-to-end testing, and document results.
  • Environment Setup: Build out and set up QA environments, equipment, software, and hardware devices.
  • Product Knowledge: Quickly become adept at company products and acquire domain knowledge for all of the products over time.
  • Test Management: Create, execute, and maintain test cases in test management tools.
  • Defect Management: Analyze test results and manage defects.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root-cause analysis for critical defects released to our customers or as needed to improve processes.
  • Security Testing: Perform security testing, including Qualys, SSF, PADSS, and SOC2.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure product stability.
  • UI Testing: Conduct UI testing, including UX, happy path, and negative tests.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical work experience.
  • Certifications: Certification in one or more of the following: CAST, CMSQ, CSQA, CSTE, ISTQB.
  • Experience: 5+ years of QA experience.
  • Skills: Proven knowledge of different phases of the SDLC, Project and Testing Methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Scrum, Waterfall, CICD).
  • Tools: Proficiency using software testing and evaluation tools: Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, Postman, Syslog Watcher.
  • Operating Systems: Operating systems (Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS).
  • Programming Languages: Programming / programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Innovation: Must have an innovative outlook and a desire to seek new and more effective ways of testing.
  • Organization: Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable to commitments.
