We are seeking a visionary leader to drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions for Thomson Reuters' Core Research Products. As Principal AI Architect, you will be responsible for designing and directing the technology strategy for a new class of AI solutions that serve customer-facing human-in-the-loop applications.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline or Master's plus comparable experience, with 10+ years hands-on building AI / NLP systems for commercial applications. Additionally, they should have 5+ years of management experience, coaching & developing high-performing teams, and expertise in cloud platforms for large-scale AI workloads and infrastructure.

About the Role

  • Design and direct the technology strategy for AI solutions serving customer-facing human-in-the-loop applications.
  • Enable editorial workflows for AI-assist and task-specific model customization at scale.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to advance the state of LLM application development.
  • Ensure solutions align with modern best practices for cloud across platforms and environments.
  • Continuously improve ways of working with partner teams across product engineering.

About You

  • PhD in a relevant discipline or Master's plus comparable experience.
  • 10+ years hands-on building AI / NLP systems for commercial applications.
  • 5+ years of management experience - coaching & developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms for large-scale AI workloads and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of model versioning, monitoring, and retraining practices, with experience building frameworks for maintaining model performance in production.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and align AI architecture with business needs.
  • Strong desire to design innovative solutions with large language models.
